Well, Friday afternoon, I was finally introduced to City of Heroes. That is to say, the UTACM somehow got their hands on a bulk of CoH discs, and left them in the office for anybody to pick up if they wanted to. I happened to want to, for I've heard good things about it.
I'll be honest: I spent all the rest of Friday, and late into the next day even, playing this addictive MMORPG. It might have something to do with the fact that my best friends all started up with me (with the exception of Scott, he's played it before and apparently knows a lot about it). By the way, I did this all not at my home, but over at Keith's. Supposedly they have a rockin internet connection. Sadly, it constantly drops my wireless. Yeah, my wireless NIC just sucks is all.
This is all being done partially because next weekend, the UTACM is hosting a LAN party, and people were planning to do a mass play of CoH on the 2 weeks trial version (since the LAN party would only last about 12 hours XD).
Anyways. The strangest thing about skipping that night of sleep is I'd already done so the previous night! So that's two nights of sleep skipped. It could be worse, though, because I woke up Thursday at 1pm, so I've not yet passed 48 hours. But, you know...still not normal or healthy.
Okay okay....technically I slept from 7am-9am. Two hours, woop-de-frickin-do. It helps, yeah, but I don't count it as real sleep. More like a power nap. It's only because we didn't have any Amp for me to guzzle handy, and uh....everybody else was asleep, so my mind was not entertained.
Anyways. I ended up doing the exact same thing all day Saturday. Well, not quite. At one point, Scott and Brett stopped everything and focused on cleaning up my computer. That is, they uninstalled Norton (apparently, Norton is a virus itself and doesn't at all do a good job of keeping your computer virus free) and installed two useful programs to clean my computer up. They both fixed the registry and removed a nasty virus that their vastly superior virus scanning program discovered.
Most bothersome part about all this? I was supposed to be home by now, having gone to sleep hours ago, and be waking up in 2-3 hours to go off and referee soccer games like I always do. Problem is I'm still not at home and still not sleeping.
I also missed DotA practice Friday night for clan neKrosis. :(
I also haven't chatted with Kitiy for days! This makes me both guilty, lonely, and sad. I feel like an ass or something. -.-
Anyways. I still can't sleep, nor do I really want to sleep. I'm going to continue to entertain my brain with an addicting game.

5 Centimeters Per Second
I just watched the first part of an amazing Japanese feature film that was recently released. It is about two young kids (just starting out middle school), a boy and a girl, who share a close relationship through their elementary school years and then get separated due to incontrollable circumstances and have to live apart. The entire story seems to be focused on the pain of distance.
I only discovered this because, for some reason, the Dattebayo group releases stuff under the title of a Naruto episode (and as translated by YHBT...aka You Have Been Trolled). Being that it's been done before, I almost didn't download it, because the YHBT stuff they release usually sucks ass.
But I felt compelled to download it, and started watching it anyways. Even though I should have gone to sleep an hour ago. It really is amazing, though maybe it's just because I can relate it to my own circumstances. Distance, indeed, can be quite painful. Perhaps I wouldn't have stayed up to watch it if it wasn't so easy for me to relate to the main character, but I do still feel it's worth watching.
I really want to watch the following two parts, but I have no idea where to find them. :(
At least, not subbed. Sigh.

Thunder and Lightning
I recently discovered an interesting webcomic. I suppose I don't normally blog about the webcomics I've found and regularly read, but maybe I should get into the habit for the hell of it.
This one isn't of particularly high quality, but it's fairly new, and some of the ideas in it are very interesting so far. I love the backstory and the basic structure of the world it's set in especially so.
Anyways. It's almost Spring Break! Oh....exciting isn't it? Sunny beaches, salt water, hot girls...
Unless you're like me and house-sitting for the family.
I'm not complaining per se. It's not like I'd be going down to South Padre and handing beads to girls or anything. I'd probably just sit in my apartment all day playing DotA. After all, I'm not a party animal like some people. Also, there's only one girl I'd want to visit over the break.
It's just...I'm house-sitting. Of all things to do over a holiday... sigh.
Well. Least I get a whole house to myself for a week. Not that I have friends to invite over or anything. I get to watch over two dogs, three cats, a parrot, a fish tank...and lizards. Joy?
Perhaps. I'll still spend the holiday mostly playing DotA, that's for sure. This just means I'll get to have a big-ass television too. I won't get to sleep in my own bed, though.
Speaking of "thunder and lightning," it's nearly time to buy myself a new laptop...
I don't want to in that I have to spend money on it. But I want to in that I've always wanted a better laptop. I also want to in that this laptop is likely to self-destruct any day now. Seriously.
Not too long ago, I think it was Thursday, my computer pretty much had a stroke, heart attack, anurism, and mental breakdown all in one. That is, if a computer was living. Basically, about after 5 minutes of normal computer operation, Windows would have a system error and automatically shut down. Which was extremely frustrating, to say the last.
I got so frustrated by this, I almost went to Dell and ordered a laptop from them right there. Seriously. I almost did it. I managed to stop myself though.
Fortunately, after that day, my computer hasn't been misbehaving. Well, okay, I lied. It's having small, random glitches that really shouldn't be happening. And it's running at the speed of snail. I'll need to format the hard drive soon, after I back up important files. Assuming I'm not too lazy to do it.
It's not just being lazy, though. Formatting a hard drive and re-installing everything is a bitch. You'd know if you've ever done it. It's not fun.
So excuse me while I go back to trying to procrastinate my way through college. Yeah. Wish me luck on that one.

Nekrosis & Assassins!
For those few who actually read my blurbs...know that I am often not in the mood to blurb, and thus why it happens so rarely. Anyways!
I have lately joined a DotA clan with my friends from the UTACM...Clan Nekrosis (rather, nKs on Battle.net itself). It's kinda nice to have a bunch of people who like to play DotA and, though not everybody is on the same skill level, we can play together without having somebody noob it up...
Well, okay. It really depends on what hero some of us get...but ah well. Course...you people probably don't play DotA and care not for any of this. Suffice it to say that it's a fairly new clan, so a lot of the clan...I dunno...structure is still being built up. It would seem Ellipsis has taken a lead role in caring for the web site and is practically a co-leader or something. Lucky him for having web-dev skills and actually having the drive to use them.
Well...as to my academic...status I suppose... I'm not completely sure. I'm positive I'll be getting an A in one of my classes...but two of my classes I've almost never gone to, and the fourth I only go to because...well, if I skip once more, I automatically fail. Which would mean I have to drop it. I'm not sure if I can drop it or not, seeing as I'm on scholastic probation and all. Let's just try to avoid getting to that point.
I know that all I need to do in order to pass all my classes is to actually GO to my classes and simply do the work...but once you get into the habit of being lazy and NOT doing something, it is painfully difficult to break the habit. It certainly doesn't do much for my self-esteem, let me tell you. I think it's at an all-time low.
Beyond that...there's not much else to say I guess. Life goes on, and nothing much interesting happens.
Hmm...well, Assassins is going on the in the UTACM. That's why I've been looking like a complete moron for the past week or two.
You see, all the active officers have a "target" that they must "kill" using a well-thrown sock. However, there are things called safe items. If you have these on your person, usually worn (and some have to be worn in a certain way or something, like...a headband actually has to be on your head), then you can't be killed. Oh, also. You have no idea who's after you, unless they try and fail, or you get the info from somebody else.
So far, the safe items:
1) ethernet cable
2) branch or twig, at least 6in. in length
3) an object tied around your forehead and tied/connected at the back ninja style (such as Naruto or Sanosuke)
and now, just added tonight...something I've yet to put on:
4) a tail
x.x I think I have an idea about how to do the tail. Though, I swear...Cat is trying to get us to cosplay. A headband and a tail? Oh, no, that doesn't cry anime cosplay all over it! Not at all...
Things are getting more ridiculous by the...every 2nd to 3rd day? That just sounds weird...I guess I do need to sleep... >.<>.>;
Maybe some people will be of the opinion the tail is too far for them. I hope so. I want a target I see daily, rather than weekly.
Some people have gotten like...3 or 4 kills....probably because they got easy targets. After all. If you're retarded enough to think "Oh, I can ninja it without safe items!" then you WILL die. And, uh...so far they have. Maybe they'll learn their lesson? Probably not. I bet they just didn't give a damn.
Wait...I'm giving a damn? Now...that's weird...
Anyways...I guess I'm out. I'm practically dead from how much sneezing I've done today, so I can't think of anything else I need to type.
Well....maybe I could mention that Kitiy, lately, has been extremely popular amongst the boys at her school...and apparently one or two of the girls at her school too. I think I need to start spending more time on Yahoo before somebody manages to loose her from my loving grasp.
