Yeah...in case anybody checks here anymore, I am still alive. I would say alive and well, but uh...it seems my GPA has dropped down to about a 1.5, which means scholastic probation. So I assume I'm rather less than well at the moment.
Eh...I'm still not entirely sure what went wrong, but I managed to get an F in all four courses last semester. I think it all partially stems from my apparent inability to sleep less than 16 hours a day. Though, recently, I seem to be getting up at 9am fairly regularly, so hopefully things will turn out right.
Uh...not sure what else I really should bother to say. It seems falling out of the habit of blogging means a backlog of things happening in my life, and an apparent loss of blog-writing skill.
I finally decided to give up on my old brick of an mp3 player. Yeah...it holds 40GB of music, which means I can take all my music with me, but...it's got, I swear, 3 hours of battery life now. It's definitely even off it's last leg at this point and should probably just be scrapped entirely. Maybe I'll figure out a better idea than a trash can for what to do with it later. For now, I'll be using this 2GB thing my parents decided to get me for Xmas.
When I first opened it, I was thinking "Umm...thanks...I'm not ever going to use this." Later on I decided, since it's about the size of a USB drive, and can go several days without needing to be recharged (at my laptop by the way, which took for-fucking-ever to discover), I'll stick with this. Sure, it means only keeping my favorite bands, and perhaps a new band I've recently discovered, with me to listen to, but I haven't really had too many problems with it yet.
I should mention that, in order to open the battery cover, I had to use TWO screwdrivers to slowly pry it off without breaking it. I managed to leave a couple gouges on the beautiful black plastic on the back, as well as give myself a painful cut on the inside of my finger...which, thankfully, is now healed...about 99%.
Hmm...let's see...I've gotten a pair of awesome Sennheiser headphones, the kind that wraps around behind your neck and clips onto your ears. Just got it today, in fact. I think it was $30-$40. So far, worth the money.
I should be getting a new Razer Copperhead ($80...w00t!) mouse in a week or so. Considering I actually managed to completely snap off the metal connector for my wireless USB connector for my old mouse...yeah, a new mouse is needed, and I think I'll go for a good gaming mouse this time.
Just watch, next to break/wear out: my cheap ass, 1.5-year-old laptop. It will be very painful to replace, so I'm considering getting some kind of account on some file server to store all my irreplaceable shit on. Though using my CS account to store files might do the trick, too, I'm not sure.
Hmm...other things...think think think. Uh...so far, things with Kitiy are going wonderful. It hasn't exactly been a smooth ride, but I couldn't possibly find myself being happy with anybody else. I'm currently in the process of shipping out a belated Xmas gift, a b-day gift, and a Valentine's day gift to her all at once. Nothing too expensive, but at the same time nothing cheap and worthless. I won't say what they are yet, cause she reads this blog. >.>;
As unbelievable as it is, I'm still jobless. I'm a lazy bum, eh? I need to put some effort into that, yes.
Ah...I don't remember if I've mentioned this in past blogs or not, (I'm about to go to bed, so sue me for not wanting to check :P), but I seem to be terribly addicted to WarCraft III. NO, NOT WORLD OF WARCRAFT. Totally different games. So many people assume WoW when I say warcraft, it's beginning to get on my nerves. >.<
Yeah, quite obviously, DotA is one of the top maps on my list (My best hero right now is the Drow Ranger...no longer Syllabear, as it once was)...but I also play a bunch of other maps. If you actually care about which maps I play, feel free to ask me.
So...I haven't touched my writing in...it feels like forever. For anybody who is interested, I'm considering touching that again. Maybe I can bring back the old writing spirit. We'll see. But between college, gaming, Kitiy, and my college buddies...I'm not likely to do too much writing. And the same can be said for my favorite forums. I suppose I should go apologize, at the very least, for my disappearing act...considering I was in a couple of roleplays.
So...I guess that's a bit of a catch-up blog on my life in the last couple of months. There's probably a lot of crap I missed/would've blogged if I'd been actively blogging...but oh well. Catch ya later, readers.
Oh, and Fiona says "Meow!" I think she's telling me to go to bed already.
